This restaurant is very crowded. The staff, though not rushing patrons, efficiently clear and manage tables to accommodate the waiting line. It's recommended to arrive early, ideally around 11 AM or earlier, as they do not take reservations. The food is spicy, made with fresh ingredients, and delicious. While the prices are on the higher side, they are reasonable for the quality. Service is good, and it's important to note that they are cash only.

Excellent Thai fare at decent prices. They do have an English menu. The only gripe I have is they don’t have their curries here… only one orange prawn. None of the reds nor green or mamasans… But you get interesting Thai stuff and a wide selection of choices from their menu. Portions aren’t overly big so be prepared to just order more if you are peckish. Drinks are on the affordable side too, but beware some drinks do come with loads of ice. They do get crowded and wait times vary on how many are working at that shift.

If you look for Thai-Southern food in Khaoyai, this should be one of your lists to try. I like the food here which tastes like authentic southern food but not too spicy. I tried a few times with different menus, of which my favorite is Krua Kling Nua (Beef in stir-fried chilli), the texture of the beef was so tender that it was stir-fried well. Price is acceptable, but not cheap. If you come during a busy weekend, it may take a while to get a table. I would recommend trying, if you want to break from Pasta or Steak in Khao Yai.

The menu here is quite unique and noticeably different from typical Thai cuisine. If you’re visiting Khao Yai, it’s definitely worth a try. Many people travel here specifically for the food, so be prepared for a potentially long wait.

What a fantastic lunch we had at Yungkhaow Khao Yai before heading back to Bangkok! With a group of 17 adults and kids, it can be tough to please everyone, but Yungkhaow nailed it. The food was absolutely incredible, and the customer service was top-notch, handling our large group with ease. We were told this place was a must-visit, and we all agree—so glad we finally made it here.

The overall taste is good. The yellow curry is slightly sour, not too spicy, and has high-quality fish. The deep-fried fish with turmeric is delicious and crispy, making it easy to eat the whole fish. The stir-fried vegetables with mushrooms are fairly standard. Service is excellent – food is served quickly, and the staff is very attentive. For the atmosphere, there are both open-air and air-conditioned seating options.

Had a wonderful meal at Yungkhaow Khao Yai. The food felt like classic Thai home-style cooking — flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. The vegetables were fresh, the curries had great balance, and every dish tasted comforting in the best way. The atmosphere was one of the highlights. The rustic barn-style setting, open space, and relaxed countryside vibe made the meal even more enjoyable. It’s a place that feels warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall experience was easy and pleasant. A great stop in Khao Yai if you’re looking for good Thai food in a cozy, scenic setting. Highly recommended.

A nice Michelin Authentic Thai restaurant definitely to visit in Khao Yai. Their fried items are so well done. The service is great. Plenty of parking and pet-friendly.
